Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to The Producer Helper ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our website theproducerhelper.com or purchase our digital products.
2. Information We Collect
Personal Information
We collect this only when you hand it to us, and only for the reason next to it:
- Name and email address — when you buy a product, so that we can deliver it and give you access to your downloads later.
- Billing information — entered on Polar's checkout and handled entirely by them. It never reaches our servers.
- Name, email address and a YouTube link — only if you suggest a video through the Academy form. We use it to review the suggestion and to reply to you.
- Email address and the topics you picked — only if you join our newsletter yourself, from the home page. We also keep the date you signed up and the sentence you agreed to, so we can show what you consented to.
Technical Information
This is the part most privacy policies are vague about, so here is exactly what happens when you browse this site:
- We run no analytics. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no tracking script of any kind.
- Our web server keeps no access log. We do not record your IP address, the pages you visit or your browser.
- The only technical record we keep on purpose is the MCP server usage described in section 6 — and it holds no IP address.
The providers we rely on keep their own technical records in order to do their job — Supabase logs sign-ins, Polar runs fraud checks on payments. Those records stay with them, under their own privacy policies, and we do not use them to build any profile of you.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Process your orders and deliver digital products
- Send purchase confirmations and product delivery emails
- Review the videos people suggest through the Academy form, and reply to them
- Send the news you signed up for, on the topics you chose, if you joined the newsletter
- Provide customer support
- Comply with legal obligations
The emails we send
There are three kinds, and they are not the same thing. Section 6 of our Terms & Conditions says the same thing in the same words — the two pages are meant to be read together.
- Service emails. Your purchase and its download links, your account and password links, the acknowledgement of a video you suggested, and our answer when you write to us. These are the product itself, so they are not optional.
- Updates to something you already own. If a pack you bought gets a corrected file or a new version, we tell you. That is part of what you paid for, not advertising.
- News about this site. A new sample or preset pack, or a new free feature — our MCP server was one. This kind is optional, and it is the only one you can switch off.
You can sign up for that third kind yourself, from the home page, and choose what you want to hear about: new features, new videos in the Academy, new products. That form is the only way onto the list. These are the rules it follows, without exception:
- They are rare, and each one has a reason. We write when there is something to announce — a pack, a new feature — or to follow up on a product you own. There is no schedule, no weekly or monthly email, no automated sequence, and nothing sent simply to stay visible. Going months without hearing from us is the normal case, not a failure.
- It is only ever about The Producer Helper. We never advertise anyone else's product, we carry no paid placements, and your address is never sold, rented, shared, or handed to an advertising platform. There is no external marketing here and there will not be.
- One click stops it. Every one of those emails carries an unsubscribe link — no account needed, no reason to give. Unsubscribing deletes your address from the list rather than flagging it, and we honour it permanently.
- Nobody is added for you. Buying a product, downloading a free one, suggesting a video or using the Academy never puts you on the list. Customers receive the service emails and product updates described above, and news only if they sign up themselves, like anyone else.
- If what we send ever changes — a new kind of email, a new provider — we update this page before it goes out, so this section always matches what actually lands in your inbox.
4. Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Polar (Polar Software Inc.), our payment processor and merchant of record. We do not store or have access to your credit card information. By making a purchase, you agree to Polar's terms of service and privacy policy. Purchases made before December 2025 were processed by LemonSqueezy, which we no longer use; those older orders remain in your account history.
5. Cookies and Data Storage
Our website uses only essential cookies required for basic functionality. We do not use cookies for advertising or marketing purposes.
Cookies We Use:
- Session cookies: To maintain your login state when you access your account
- Technical cookies: Required for the website to function properly (provided by Next.js)
Third-Party Cookies:
When you make a purchase, Polar (our payment processor) may set their own cookies to process your payment securely. We do not have access to or control over these cookies. Please refer to Polar's privacy policy for information about their cookie usage.
We do not store any cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising purposes. If we implement additional functionality in the future that requires cookies, we will update this policy and obtain your consent where required by law.
6. MCP Server Usage (theproducerhelper.com/mcp)
Our free Academy can be connected to an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT through an open MCP server. It requires no account, no email address and no API key, and it only ever points at videos we have published. What it is and what it promises are set out in section 3 of our Terms & Conditions; this section is about what it records.
We keep a short technical log of how that server is used, so that we know which questions people bring to it and, above all, which questions the library does not answer yet. That is what tells us which video to make or add next.
What we record:
- The question or topic sent to the server, and how many videos matched it
- Which tool was called, and the date and time
- The name the connecting software gives for itself (for example "claude-ai" or "chatgpt")
- A daily, salted, one-way identifier used only to count distinct users
What we do NOT record:
- No IP address is stored. Your IP is turned into the one-way identifier above and then discarded. The salt is generated at random when our server starts and is never written down, so the identifier cannot be traced back to an IP — not by anyone else, and not by us either.
- No location, no country, no device or browser fingerprint
- No name, email address or account — the MCP server never asks for one
- No cookie, and nothing stored on your device
A usage limit, and what it keeps. To stop automated flooding, the server counts requests per visitor, with a ceiling set far above what anyone reaches by asking questions — even all day. That count is filed under a salted one-way identifier of the same kind, never under your IP. It lives only in the server's memory, only as long as the limit needs it, and is never written to disk or to our database; a restart erases it.
This is not advertising or marketing data. It is never used for advertising, profiling, retargeting or scoring, it is never sold, rented or shared with third parties, and it never leaves our own database. We look at it to decide which lessons to add. Logs are deleted automatically after 12 months.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding and improving a free service we publish. Because the records contain no identifier we can link back to you, we cannot single out your own entries to delete them — but you can ask us anything about this at contact@theproducerhelper.com.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your email addresses and purchase information are stored in secure, private databases with restricted access.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Newsletter sign-ups are kept for as long as you stay subscribed. When you unsubscribe, the entry is deleted — we do not keep your address on a “former subscribers” list.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt-out of marketing communications, at any time and in one click
- Object to processing we base on legitimate interest, such as the MCP log in section 6
- File a complaint with a supervisory authority
To exercise these rights, please contact us at contact@theproducerhelper.com.
10. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Polar (Polar Software Inc.): payment processing and order management, acting as merchant of record for our digital products.
- Supabase: hosts our database and handles account sign-in, password resets and magic links. Your account and purchase records live there.
- Resend: delivers our email — purchase confirmations and account links, and the newsletter for those who joined it (see section 3).
- LemonSqueezy: our former payment processor, decommissioned in 2026. It no longer receives any data; only the resulting order records remain in your account.
Important: We do not have access to your banking or credit card information. All payment data is securely handled by our payment processor and is not stored on our servers.
These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
11. Where Your Data Is Processed
We do not run our own database, payment system or mail server, so it is worth being concrete about where the little we hold actually sits:
- Supabase holds your account and the list of products you own — that list is what unlocks your downloads — and the newsletter list, if you joined it.
- Polar handles the payment itself, end to end. Card details go to them and never reach us.
- Resend delivers the emails that carry your purchase and the access to what you bought — and the newsletter, if you joined it (section 3). It never receives anything beyond an email address and the message.
These providers run infrastructure in several countries, including outside the European Union, and they process this data on our behalf under their own data processing terms. We do not sell it, rent it or share it with anyone else.
12. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
